Spotlight: Jennifer Boehme

Check out what Jennifer did with this adorable chipboard album by Maya Road!

I’m Jennifer Boehme and I live in Forney. When I am not scrap booking ,
I work full time for Chase Bank. I have been married to my wonderful
husband for 3 years and we have 2 kids ages 15 and 4. (Yes, that’s 11 yrs apart)
I started scrap booking in 2003 right after I bought my 1st house. My mom
decided I needed a hobby and she took me to the scrapbook store and from
there it has become an addiction…you know it’s bad when you go to buy your
second house and your only request is that it has an extra bedroom so it can
your scrap room! Hee Hee. I am so thrilled to be a member of the design team
at The Crafty Scrapper (my favorite store)!

You can see more of her designs on her blog.  Plan a trip to The Crafty Scrapper to see our latest designs, and buy the latest Maya Road chipboard.

Happy Scrapping!

Fancy Pants: Spotlight on Taresa Sessions

I know lots of scrappers struggle with creating layouts for boys. Check out these cuties put together by guest designer Taresa Sessions using Fancy Pants new "To The Moon" collection.

These letetrs were cut with her cricut, and then outlined with a white journaling pen.

Cosmo Cricket: Spotlight on Dee Dee

Here's a sweet layout I designed for my son using Cosmo Cricket's new Social Club collection. :)

The muted neutrals of the collection went really nicely with the bright colors of my photographs.

The doily stamp on the left edge is by Technique Tuesday, the rub-ons are American Crafts, and the chipboard is from Cosmo Cricket.

I layered a rub-on on top of my chipboard scroll, added a Maya Road sheer, chipboard buttons, twine, and a bit of lace.

All these supplies including all the new Cosmo Cricket papers and embellishments can be found at The Crafty Scrapper.

PS Today's the last day to submit an application for the Design Team! :) See post below for details.

New Prima Products in Stock: That Smile

Today we're continuing our feature of design team member Patty Rogers.

For this LO my goal was to include a lot of detail, include dimension, and to work with the paper in a new way for me. Done, done, done! I spent some time hand cutting the lovely flowers that are in this GORGEOUS PRIMA collection called Madeline, After cutting them I used a foam sheet from the craft store to get a solid cushion for each flower. Also, I distressed, inked and stitched around the circles for more details. Last, I hand cut along the lace border (see bottom of page), inked it, scored it and folded it up. The only products used here that are not Prima are the lovely white frame by Pinkpaislee called Artisan Elements, the Ranger Glossy Accents for the title and other accents (see closeup) and Maya Road chipboard mini alphabet called Noah, which I inked, using Cat's Eye Magenta.
The photo is of my DD, Elizabeth, taken last Friday.
Thanks for taking a peek, everyone! .......Patty

You can check out more of Patty's designs on her blog, or stop by The Crafty Scrapper to see this gorgeous layout and all the new Prima papers and embellishments in person.

Thanks for looking! :)

From A Winter's Day

Here's another amazing design team layout created by designer Patty Rogers.

"What a joy it was to work with these products by Maya Road and Little Yellow Bicycle. The patterned paper is all from the "Twig Collection" by LYB, as are the feathers and little Flower Button Dots. All chipboard pieces are by Maya Road. Also used, was Maya Road Candy Stripes Blossoms (ribbon flower), Ranger Ink (lettuce), Making Memories paint (Chocolate), Flower Soft (Polar White and Glue). Techniques used were painting, distressing, inking, machine stitching and embossing. The photos were taken by me during our "Deep Freeze" here in Texas.....I had a ball taking pics of our little critters just outside our kitchen windows! Aren't these little guys PRECIOUS?!!! Thanks for taking a peek......Patty"

I am totally blown away by Patty's layout! Be sure to stop by The Crafty Scrapper to check it out in person, and pick up supplies to make a layout of your favorite winter day.

You can find more of Patty's work on her blog.

Spotlight on Designer Patty Rogers

If you've been into The Crafty Scrapper this week you were likely ooohing and ahhing over this fabulous banner from design team member Patty Rogers.

Hi! My name is Patty Rogers and I am a big fan of The Crafty Scrapper. I never mind driving there from Arlington because it is the best scrapbook store in all of Texas! Believe me; I’ve been to many of them. What a joy it is to see the latest supplies here and think of ways to use them.
My wonderful husband supports and encourages my scrappy "addiction", and so do our two grown children, Lee and Elizabeth. My family is the joy of my life and the subject of much of my scrapbooking. When I’m not working on layouts of my immediate family, I enjoy going through my mother’s pictures of our ancestors. The stories and pictures that she has shared with me make our family tree come alive.
Officially, I’ve been scrapbooking for about twenty years, but my scrapbooking began while in grade school, and I still have the first album that I made then! New techniques and products are of great interest to me and I consider myself lucky to live during a time when resources for scrapbookers are plentiful and ever-changing. The giant steps that have been made in the last few years in the scrapbooking industry amaze me. I rely heavily on the training I received at Texas Christian University, where I majored in education and minored in art. The challenge of creating scrapbook art that hopefully will be cherished by generations to come drives me to tell the stories of my family and friends in an interesting and creative way.

Here are some close-up photos of Patty's banner if you're interested in creating it for your mantle or wall.

Maya Road Metal Accents Collection: Bottle Caps "Super Mega"

Prima Fairytale Roses, Buttercup
Ribbon: May Arts

Stop by The Crafty Scrapper or call in an order to make this for yourself!
