Cutie Layout with Ginger

Hello!  It is Ginger here today with my layout for the Design Team at The Crafty Scrapper!

I love this sweet photo of my granddaughter Paityn.  It goes so well with the lovely paper by Crate Paper -  Oh Darling Collection.

I distressed, inked, added modeling paste, spray and then added color to the modeling paste.

I used modeling paste and then added green stickles and used a fine tip marker to make it stand out more.  I also outlined the word Cutie!

I used ink spray, inked the little girl, added flowers and leaves by Sizzix.

I used ribbon, flowers, made the little tags and secured them with cute brads.  Last but not least I painted this wooden piece and wrote Paityn!

Thank you for taking the time to look at this layout.  Please visit The Crafty Scrapper!

Boy Fun Mini Album with Amy

Hi y'all! It's Amy again with a bit of little boy fun today.  I have to admit, when I first saw Crate Paper Boys' Rule collection, I was stumped. You see my sweet Lee came into my life after the Gameboy and video game phase of his life. I remember those days with my little brother many many moons ago but that was WAY before we were in the "grab a camera and remember it" way of life that we currently exist in. Dare I age myself and say it was before Instagram?? :)

I got out the blank chipboard and cut this way and that. I first saw a 3D car, but my creative skills didn't expand that far. Tried to build a robot but nope no luck there either. As I sat and stared at this paper I knew I just had to wait for the light bulb. I finally picked up on the Gameboy shape of some extra album pages laying on my table. From there, I was off.

Before I put on the paper I painted the background paper with chalkboard paint and cut out this frame from extra chipboard. The monsters are also Crate Paper embellies.

Now I am one of those odd people that sometimes like making projects that DON'T have any pictures in it. Since I didn't have any of the boy kind that fit this paper anyway, I went the "conversation piece" route with this one. I deconstructed one of the Crate Paper embellies and put the accordion from a flower around a Maya Road bottle cap to make this totally awesome flower.

I left the back of all three of the interior pieces blank for two reasons. One, space inside the box. Two, so that pictures could be added if I gift this project to any of my friends who do have video game carrying little boys.

This project is on display down at The Crafty Scrapper!

Vintage Love with Amy

Hi y'all! Today I have a project to show you that I adore.

One because it has my favorite thing in it - flowers!
Second because it has two of my favorite people in the world in it - my grandparents.

My grandparents more or less raised me. I lived with them and my mom when I was little. During the formative years of my life where I copied my mother and called my grandma "Mom". That stuck for all three of us grandkids and now my kids call her the same. Appropriate enough since she was such a strong influence on me. PawPaw is the only father figure I have ever known. It is a rare treat to get such a great picture of them as is featured here, but Sonia knows her stuff!

I love anything Prima and this vintage frame is no exception. I used Crate Paper's Style Board line to line the inside edge of the frame and the back. From there I just let the layering begin!

I used Primas' Something Blue flower line and inked up the edges to go along with the frame. As with almost all of my projects, Maya Road pins finish off this flower grouping along with Want 2 Scrap pearl bling.

I hope you enjoy the finished product as much as I will for years to come.
Remember, all of this goodness is available down at The Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie.

Happy scrappin'!

Be Mine Layout with Ginger

Hi everyone! It's Ginger here today to share a layout with you!

I really love this paper by Crate Paper - Love Note Collection.  I found this sweet photo of my granddaughter Paityn which I knew it would go great with the papers and all the goodies that was given to me.  I stitched each paper in black thread, added pink ink, and then I used The Crafter's Workshop stencil.

My chipboard fram I painted a light pink and then added small white pearls.

It always seems on each layout I create there is something that takes awhile to create.  On this layout it is the white burlap which I fringed and cut out a corrugated cardstock the same length.  I used white gesso and while it is still wet I added large silver glitter by Melissa Frances.  Once it all dried I added it on top of the fringe which I cut it out in the same shape as the corrugated cardstock.  I then found pink flower ribbon by Maya Roads.

I stitched around each paper that I used.  I then added pink ink on the page and then used The Crafter's Workshop stencil with modeling paste.  I was given this very cute clothes pin with a heart and I scrunched up the red and white ribbon to pin it to.  I also used by Sizzix Rose Die Cut to make the small flower out of vellum which I added pink ink to the inside.

I was given a small wooden piece that I laced the ribbon through and added small white pearls.  Then I added all these gorgeous flowers by Prima.  I was also given the heart shape lock, the flower with Be Mine, and the sweet little bird .

Best Friends Layout - Crate Paper Love Notes

Good afternoon blogging friends!

It's Anita here today and I want to share a layout I made using
a fabulous new line from Crate Paper- Love Notes.

This line is Valentine themed, but the colors are great for other events
as well, so I used mine for a layout about my DD2 and some friends she
made during her years at summer camp.

I think that this aqua color is going to be the color of the year- which makes
me SUPER happy! I used my Silhouette to cut the circles background and title.

I sprayed by base paper with Rangers Perfect Pearls - Turquoise.
My die cut paper was heat embossed with a thick shiny powder.

The tag, and die cut chipboards are from Crate Paper. Seam binding is
from The Crafty Scrapper. The super shiny little charm in the corner of the pics
is from Maya Road- of course!

The transparency is American Crafts, all the other embellies are from Crate Paper.

To make my plain paper title stand out, I inked the edges, then smeared
the ink around quite a bit. Then I added some faux stitching around
the edges to define the letters.
