DT member Shelley Hamilton is featured today...

I made this album for the Scrapbook Expo in February in Grapevine, Texas, for The Crafty Scrapper!
On the front of the album, I used a wooden frame that I covered with Viva's Inka Gold. I then, stamped on it, using some of Dyan Reaveley's stamps. In the centers of the flowers on the frame, I used Viva's Paper Pen in Graphite.

The book is new by Heart of Texas Studio and the paper is by Prima.

I used the chipboard embellishments that matched the paper. On this page, I used Viva's paper pen in Copper (it's one of my FAVORITE) colors!

On this page, I used a chipboard frame by Maya Road, some more Viva Inka Gold, and I used a few of Tim Holtz's new stamps, and some stamps by Dyan Reaveley's as well!

Here, I used Maya Road's new camera chipboard embellishment, as well as Tim Holtz's new Distress Paint to stamp with!
On this page, I used more fun embellishments and some stamping.

This little "memories" lightbulb embellishment is by Prima. These were fabulous! Notice Tim's new stamp in the lower left-hand corner! These were a must-have for me, too!

Here, I used some of the matching embellishments, along with Maya Road twine, and Viva Ferro Special Effect Paste in Amber Gold!

More Prima goodness!

On this page, I used Dyan Reaveley's stamps and Viva's paper pen in Copper!

This lovely flower embellishment is by Maya Road!

Here, I used Maya Road's new tiny wooden frame embellishment and their tiny metal rose. I also used Tim Holtz's stamps.

I edged all of the pages with Viva Inka Gold!

I used Dyan Reaveley's numbers stencil and Viva's modeling creme on this page! All of these wonderful products AND MORE!! lol are available at THE CRAFTY SCRAPPER in Waxahachie, Texas! It's everybody's Happy Place!! Have a wonderful day!

This layout was made in honor of my son, Lee. He was about a month old when these photos were taken, and was taking his first official trip to see his paternal grandparents and to meet his aunt, uncle and cousins. It was a very happy time for my husband and me.
I used technique after technique to do this layout , and had a lot of fun getting goopy! First of all, I tore the paper circles and curled them. Before adhering them to the layout, I applied a thin coat of gesso in the area around the circles to create interest. Using a stencil and modeling paste I added more texture to the area surrounding the circle. After adhering the curled paper circles to the layout, I painted a little gesso onto the curled paper and pretty much everywhere else before discovering that I was obsessed with gesso!

Products used:
Bo Bunny Press
Surprise Collection paper and stickers
Delta Cream Coat
Gesso
Liquitex Modeling Paste
Little Yellow Bicycle
burlap stickers
Maya Road canvas flower
linen heart
tin
twine
star pins
Ranger Ink/Crafter's Workshop stencil

Up Coming class....

DT member Anita Houston did this sample for the expo last week. Everyone loved it so much we have asked her to teach it Sunday March 24th at noon $45.

I have just finished a project for The Crafty Scrapper that I will be teaching next month. I'm showing you a few photos, which include lots of Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste, Stencils, and Stamps, and tons of Maya Road goodness.
Maybe if you are in the area you can join in on the fun! Be looking for the exact times and dates.

This part turns into an album.

I hope your hands get creatively dirty soon!
