RangerU, NSD Weekend and Dyan Reaveley.........

Wow it has been a crazy month packed with traveling, creating, learning, meeting new people and seeing some old friends. I am truly blessed to be doing something I love!

Every year Ranger Industries hosts a 3-day program with Tim Holtz, Ranger’s Creative Director and signature designer, Claudine Hellmuth, Mixed-media collage artist and licensed designer, and their newest signature designer, Dyan Reaveley. Only 24 people are picked for each session, shop owners, bloggers, designers and teachers. Ranger is one of my biggest manufactures and what I teach most with, so I applied. Surprised and excited would be an understatement when I received the email. I feel so honored, what an experience.......
I was even more excited when I found out my dear friend Lisa Pace was going and would be my travel buddy......

Learning with Tim Holtz........

Learning with Claudine Hellmuth.....

Learing with Dyan Reaveley.....

And 80 technique's later I am Ranger Certified!

Thank you Tim Holtz, Claudine Hellmuth, Dyan Reaveley, Mario and everyone from Ranger for an fantastic experience.

As soon as I got back, the next day it was full speed ahead on the finishing touches for NSD Weekend. Not only did we host 30 women on a 4 day retreat we also had a 14 hour crop at the shop. A BIG thank you to MaryLou, Karen and Susie for running the crop at the shop.

Karen planned some fun make-n-takes for the day.....

And over at Our House In Milford Retreat, Caroline (from Maya Road), Gena, Joan and I were busy with lots of make-n-takes, giveaways and tons of laughter and creativity.....

Home on Sunday, Monday I was off to the airport to pick up Dyan Reaveley.......

Sometimes people come into your life, and you know that they are a friend for life, that is Dyan.

We had a couple of days until the classes started, so we headed off to Hobby Lobby. Little did I know that this was her first time, and what an experience it was.......

Before things got crazy with her 2 days of packed classes, I had everyone over for dinner. This is when I learned about Dyan's crazy obsession for deer heads and skulls. Well I told her she was in the right place because I had dead things all over my house, lol! This is what happens when you marry a country boy! My husband gave her, her pick of several.......

The next day started her workshops! When I went to open the door, I found several excited students.

2 days, 6 classes, lots of ink, creativity, laughter and a whole lot of diet dr. pepper..........
Thank you so much for coming to our little town in Texas, we miss you already!

It wouldn't have been a visit without the famous teeth!

Card with Maya Road Zipper Trim

Feel Better Soon

Today I wanted to show you a quick card I made from yesterday's project's scraps.  Absolutely everything (including the bow and button) was sitting on my table waiting to be crafted into SOMETHING.

So this is how it ended up.  I think the zipper is a fun addition to the card.  Sort of unexpected!  Thanks for looking!

Diecut Frame Kit

We Were Made to Find Enjoyment

The entire project is made from a huge die cut. Each of us were challenged to make one in our own style. When I found the quote, "We were made to find enjoyment", I knew I wanted to use pictures from a July 4th trip we took two years ago.

The flowers are all from Prima. I think they make the most amazing floral embellishments!  And The Crafty Scrapper is selling these die cut kits.  You can buy them online from them.  Thanks for looking! Susie

A Little Love Letter

I swooned a little when I saw the brand new My Minds Eye Miss Caroline collections.  I forced myself to limit my purchase to two of the 6x6 paper pads.  This one is called Howdy Doody.  The papers in this pad are just so sweet and girly.

The background paper on the card has that precious flower motif on the lower left.  I added a Prima flower for texture.

The little banner  just makes me smile.  It is a die from PaperTrey Ink.  I cut off the top to make it flush and then attached the rounded part back onto the little banner so it looks like it is a pocket (maybe with a love letter in it).

The stamps are all from a MFT Stamps collection called First Class Friend. And that little stick pin is part of the Miss Caroline collection too.

Thanks for looking! Susie

You Make Feel Feel Warm All Over

I was so excited to use this little image from MFT Stamps.  She is actually a firefighter, but I decided to create her NOT highlighting her occupation.  Instead, I just wrapped her in a warm plaid coat and then covered her firefighter emblem with a little flower to make a fun hat.

The papers are from another MME Miss Carolyn collection.  This one is called Dilly Dally. I can see a lot of boy-possibilities in this paper pad too.

Thanks for looking! Susie

My Favorite Things Stamps

I suppose this precious My Favorite Things stamp was designed for July 4th, but I decided to bring her out a few months early and let her celebrate another great American holiday!

I colored her with Copic markersand paper pieced her little dress. Her sparkler is highlighted with both gold and clear Spica markers. And isn't that a cute pre made embellishment?

I used Spellbinders oval dies for the focal image and mat. But I thought it needed some scallops too. So out came my MFT Stamps large scallop border die. Four scallops later and I was done!

Thanks for looking!

Delightful Friend

Today's card is just a simple little one using another new My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pad. This one has more masculine colors....but still pretty enough for a girly girl card.

BoBunny Layout with Thickers

This post is from Design Team Member Anita.

Today I am showing off some beautiful new Bo Bunny paper that I got
from The Crafty Scrapper - there is so much new product coming in!!
I love the colors on this paper, I knew I wanted to use black and white
photos with it so that the colors would shine.

How gorgeous is this paper?! I need more of it. I also used Maya Road, Prima, Tim Holtz die,
Tsukineko Inks, Thinkers, some random lace, KaiserKraft bling, Inka-Gold and some stuff from my stash.
Since this layout is for someone else I have left the journaling blank.

Thanks for looking!!  Anita

You Make My Heart Skip a Beat

Here is a new little MFT Stamps cutie for you.

My card is made of scraps from another project (that I will be showing you soon) and of course I had to use a small scrap to paper piece her dress.  I just think she is super cute!

The only dies I used on this card were from Spellbinders.  I find that many of these images fit perfectly in the oval shapes.

I try to make a card or two when I have scraps left over from a larger project. I wonder if you do that too or if you give your scraps away. I have a friend with whom I share scraps.  So whether I use my scraps or give them away....they eventually get used up.

Thanks for looking!
