Creativity Runneth Over...

Just wanted to share a few things that are at the store! These are made by members of the design team as well as some guest designers. There is so much new product coming into the store, the team has been hustling to get some examples done. There will be more coming, but here are a few to hopefully jump start you on a project of your own.

Made with the new Maya Road Tag Book. Love the way it is turned and the dog house he is peeking out of!

Believe it or not, there are a couple pictures even cuter than this one in the book!

Using the new Maya Road Mini Banner Set....cute as a little book too!

Perfect with the boy/man paper coming in from Cosmo Cricket.

Such a great layout with the new line of Pink Paislee.

Another adorable layout! Have you used the sheer sheets yet? Here is a great usage.

A twist on the recipe book. Using papers from the new American Craft line as well as some of the Heidi Grace valentine paper.

Show us what you are working on!

I'm Loving Ten Second Studio

These are some new papers that are at The Crafty Scrapper or soon will be. I didn't have elements though.....so I made my own using Ten Second Studio's metal. For this Skateboarder that I made to go with Pipeline from Moxie, I turned the metal upside down. Then I place my paper on top of it. I used a stylus and traced over once of the skaters. I freehanded some designs. Cut him out. Sanded him. Then I used popdots to add him to my LO. In this Snorkle and Another Fish in the Sea line by Cosmo Cricket, I loved the Current Paper...but I didn't have enough of the paper. So I freehanded som e currents on the metal and used the balls and cups as well as some other tools to make my own currents. I think it turned out really cute!
If you would like to see the rest of these projects, you can check out my blog.

Happy Valentine's Day.......

I spent Friday up at my sons school helping with their Valentine party. Here is a little something I made his teacher, its a Maya Road mail box, We R Memory Keepers valentine collection. One of the girls on the Design team made these awesome sweets that we sold up at the shop to help raise money for the Susan B. Komen Foundation. I put some tissue in side and filled it with sweets.
On Thursday my son was working on his Valentines before his dad came to pick him up, I keep thinking he sure was taking forever to do them. After they left and I was getting all our stuff together, I noticed he had drawn a picture on each one....how sweet is that. I was afraid to ask him about the one on Alexa's valentine, it was of him and her holding hands, hum!
Annette and I loved this one, we thought it looked like Picasso! When we told him, he looked at us like we were crazy and said, no its a man picking his nose...that's a boy for you!

Here are a few windows from the class last week. Wish we could post ALL the different ones that have been done. Mine is here if you haven't seen it yet.

This last Wednesday was the 1st of 4 classes Annette is teaching, altered window. It was great to see how each one was different.

Home From Market

I made it back from CHA around midnight Wednesday night. I was glad I missed most of the ice that had been here in the area while I was gone. Thursday, I hopped right back into the usual routine at the store. I am so excited to show you all the new things I ordered, but that would be nearly impossible. I hope you are excited to see them as they come in.

Friday night we had 22 here for late night cropping and Saturday the store was busy with the usual traffic and two classes. The class this week was a very popular one taught by Brook. This is the fourth and fifth time she has taught this class now. Every time she teaches it, I say I want to get pictures and Saturday I finally did.

One of the really cool things about this class is how different each person has done their album. Everyone starts out with a different record album and then chooses papers to compliment it and makes a book. As you can see from the pictures, it has appealed to many different groups; teens, adults, males, females, etc. Brook may not be teaching this exact class again (at least for a while), but she will have others each month for making books and using the Bind It All.

The classes have been really filling up which is great news for us. We are really trying to broaden the scope of the classes, so that many can find something of interest. Be sure to check out other classes here We hope you can join us for a class or a crop soon.
